June 15-19 Let’s Go Camping!
Some of us aren’t able to get away and go camping for the summer. Will that stop us from having some camp fun? No way! A camp themed week should be just what the doctor ordered to chase the summer blahs away.
June 22- June 26th Patriot Week
This week will be an overview of our country, its founding and its signs and symbols and what they mean to us today. Also, a discussion of what it means to be a patriot.
June 29th-July 3rd Closed for:
VACATION WEEK
July 6th-10th Vacation Week (just kidding!)
After a LONG School Year we would love an even longer Vacation, maybe a trip to Hawaii? but….. “no can do” So we will bring a little bit of Hawaii to our school. We will learn about Hawaii, and learn to do the Hula and end the week with a “cool” Luau! Sound like fun? We think so!
July 13th-17th Pirate Week
Ahoy mates, it’s the pirates. Pirates are all the rage now, and why not? Sail away with us, but don’t be fooled, pirates are pretty tricky and might just have you walk the plank out to fun!
July 20th-24th The ‘70’s
Faaaar Ouuut! Is it Deja’ Vu? A trip back in time? No, it ‘’70’s week at Cross Road Kindergarten & School. Wear your 70’s clothes!
July 27th-July 31st What in Creation?
Of course, any summer program worth it’s salt should include nature studies. Kids love nature and it is one of the best learning experiences they could have.
August 3rd-7 th Don’t Look Now, the Circus is in Town!
What could be more fun than a circus? Even a real magician!!
August 10 th-14th Storybook Week
Wouldn’t we all like to be in a fairytale, even just for one day?
August 17th-21st The Wild, Wild West
The American West: a big part of the American psyche, even for those who have never been there. Gear up for Texas sized-fun!
August 24th-28th Olympics Week
Cross Road’s own version of the Olympics! We may have events you’ve never even heard of. Now, how can we have synchronized swimming A la’ Esther Williams in the wading pools?
August 31-September 4th SPACE WEEK
What better way to prepare for the school year than getting “spaced out”? To Infinity and beyond!
* All summer program content for Kindergarten and Elementary includes Reading, Writing Workshops and Math skills. Younger classes will be using summer themed content reviewing concepts learned during the year. All classes will have art and craft projects galore! Bring your bathing suits and towels!
